The first First Monday Park was established more than a century ago as the first flea market is now home to some of latest, most thrilling, high-tech furniture, antiques, and collectibles found anywhere. Over the past 150 years, many things have changed at the Original First Monday Park; however, the genuine, intimate human interactions between vendors and customers are the reason they are always returning.

According to people from who are in the marketplace, concept is that First Monday Trade Days started in the mid-1850s when the circuit judge would make a trip to Canton on the 1st Monday of every month. Residents from all over the county came into the city to observe their court matters. In time, residents would bring their own items, whether it was livestock, food items, or other original items to sell or trade. Then in 1965 First Monday outgrew the town's Town Square so it was transferred to the present premises. And the rest is history...
First Monday Trade Days is comprised of a wide range of private sellers . Therefore, the chances are, regardless of how many times you go but you'll never actually see all of it. The flea market is located on numerous acres, with over 700,00 square yards of shopping.
Participating in First Monday is free, but the majority parking spots surrounding the trade grounds charge $5 for parking
